Safely Celebrating the Holiday’s in OC

Looking for new places to celebrate the holiday cheer this magical season? Orange County has many scenic adventures available for the whole family, where you can spread joy while experiencing some fun in the sun. Here in sunny Southern California we have the luxury of being both warm and merry as we enjoy the holiday spirit. Although this has been a challenging year, amongst the chaos we have the opportunity to come together to celebrate the holiday’s safely. Listed here are some exciting places in the area to visit, but it is always recommended to practice safety precautions for happy and healthy winter festivities. 

The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel is getting into the holiday spirit with activities for the entire family to experience. This hotel is currently offering an Inspirations of the Season special package for guests staying at the hotel. The hotel is also having unique events to ensure guest safety such as a virtual tree lighting ceremony and a holiday surfboard auction. They are also having a sand-sational extravaganza where there will be large-scale sand sculpture and sand vignettes by local sand architect Archisand Professional Sand Sculptors, Inc. located in the lobby.

The District at Tustin is offering activities all month long in celebration of the holiday’s. They are having a giveaway for gift cards, opportunities for virtual santa photos, and even offering holiday dinners for takeout from the restaurants. You can even take a stroll through The District and look at holiday decorations while practicing social distancing. 

Merry Kiss Me is a family event being offered in Dana Point Harbor where guests are able to take a walk down candy cane lane. Dana Point is spreading the cheer by illuminating the harbor for guests of all ages to enjoy. There are even themed light exhibitions throughout the harbor such as the Merry Kiss Me arch and specialty lit up trees. The event will take place from November 11 – January 3, so grab some hot cocoa, meander down candy cane lane and enjoy the lit up holiday harbor!

Night of 1000 Lights is being offered at the Sherman Library & Gardens in Corona Del Mar. You can take a stroll through the brilliantly decorated gardens where you can experience amazing light displays. The Garden is optimized to ensure the safety of visitors and will be offered on December 21 and 22.You must purchase tickets in advance to enjoy this gorgeous display.

The 30th annual Lighting of the Bay is being offered at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina which is running from November through January 1. You can experience the lights in the bay by booking a nights stay at the resort or by camping with an RV.

At the Pasea Hotel in Huntington Beach, there is even an epic oceanfront ice rink available until January 3. Only in Southern California do you have the experience of ice, ocean, and sand all in the same place. You can skate the day away with a gorgeous view of the ocean for the price of $25

There is a Drive-Thru magical winter wonderland being offered by the OC Fair & Event Center. An interactive drive-thru experience is a 1 mile drive that even features over 1 million lights for guests to experience in this night of lights. Tickets can be purchased per vehicle where you can even enjoy your own snacks and treats during the drive.

Celebrating in the OC is unlike anywhere else in the world! Enjoy the merry and cheer of this holiday season with extravagant light displays or even ice skating by the beach.
