Operation Christmas Child is Ministry Project through international relief organization Samaritan's Purse, anondenominational evangelical Christian organization that provides aid to people in need around the world. Since 1970, Samaritans Purse has helped meet the needs of thousands of victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease and famine.

Operation Christmas Child is a program built around a simple shoebox. From children to seniors, good samaritans fill a shoebox with special Christmas gifts for underprivileged children around the world. The box is then shipped to the deserving recipient and the sender can follow the box's journey to see where it ends up.
Seven Gables Real Estate agents, John and Susan Mercer, are proud sponsors of this wonderful program and they spearheaded a local initiative where thousands of boxes were collected. Here they share their sentiments:
"We are so grateful for all of the participation from many at Seven Gables Real Estate. From the love put into packing the shoeboxes to those that volunteered at the Fountain Valley drop-off collection center, where we packed 3,939 shoeboxes this year. It was especially sweet to see all of the children that were involved in packing and collecting shoeboxes for other children. It was our best year yet - our hearts are full!"
