After earning his place among the top 1% of agents worldwide, Mark Hughes turned decades of leadership and innovation in real estate into a hyper-local mission: helping the 55+ residents of Leisure World Seal Beach buy and sell homes with clarity, confidence, and care.

As a Broker Associate and Realtor of Leisure Life Real Estate, Mark leads a boutique firm dedicated to redefining service for one of California’s most unique and vibrant communities. From Mutual-by-Mutual expertise to hands-on representation, Mark and his team combine data, design, and deep community knowledge to deliver seamless results and a first-class client experience.

Mark’s background includes executive roles with several of the West Coast’s largest and most respected real estate companies. He was President of Windermere Real Estate Services (Southern California), Chief Operating Officer at First Team Real Estate, and Managing Partner of a Sotheby’s International Realty affiliate. He later grew the Newport Beach start-up Nook Real Estate from concept to acquisition by Compass in 2020.

A recognized industry voice and author of Branded Agent, Mark has spent more than three decades mastering the art and strategy of real estate sales and marketing. His career includes appearances as a national host on HGTV’s Open House and features in numerous real estate media outlets.

Known for his thoughtful leadership and sharp marketing insight, Mark continues to innovate at the intersection of real estate, branding, and community connection. He holds multiple state broker licenses and a B.A. from the University of Virginia. Mark lives locally with his wife Judy—his partner of 32 years—and takes great pride in their grown children, Dean and Katherine, both thriving in Los Angeles.
