The holiday season is the best time of giving! By taking advantage of these various opportunities, no matter how big or small the donation is, we can do our part in giving others a joyous and happy holiday season!

Every year, CHOC hosts Choco’s Toy Chest which is a toy drive aimed at gifting to patients. The goal of this toy drive is to help brighten the days of each and every child that is currently admitted into CHOC. Donations may be made either in person at the Harley Davidson Dealership, 8677 Research Drive, Irvine, or anytime by visiting www.amazon.com, for the Children’s Hospital of Orange County Wish List. The following is a list of desired items for the boys and girls of CHOC:
- Gift Cards (Amazon, Target, Walmart, etc.)
- Infant and Toddler Toys (Crib toys, teethers/rattles, musical toys, etc.)
- School Age Toys (Action figures, Barbie dolls, coloring books, craft sets, stickers, Legos, I Spy Books, etc.)
- Teenage Toys (Manicure kits, video games, intricate craft kits, PG13 DVDs, magazine subscriptions, etc.)
Orangewood Children’s Foundation

Orangewood Children’s Foundation provides support for abused, neglected and at-risk children. All types of donations made to this foundation will help brighten the holiday season and meet the needs of current and former foster youth and low-income families. The donations and contributions will also help maintain and support the foundations specialized programs all year long. From clothing to personal care, anything and everything helps! Here are a few of the desired donations:

The Coast to Coast Foundation is run entirely by volunteers with a main goal of feeding and clothing those in need. As you can imagine, there are so many different ways of donating to this organization, including your time. Coast to Coast supports a special initiative through its S.A.C.K program, aiming to provide 400 hot meals for the homeless during the holiday season. Care kits are also encouraged including items such as tooth brushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo/conditioner, deodorant and more.
Spark of Love Toy Drive

The Spark of Love Toy Drive is brought to you by ABC7, Southern California Firefighters and Subaru. Over the past 27 years, this toy drive organization has successfully collected more than ten million toys that are gifted to the underserved children and teens in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, Ventura and Riverside counties. To donate, you can drop off your new, unwrapped toys or sports equipment at your local fire station. The collected toys in each county will all then be distributed locally to the children and families in need. The organization has also partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program who is celebrating 71 years of collecting, distributing and giving toys. Projected to be the biggest Sparks of Love Toy Drive yet with firefighters and Marines standing side by side! The following are few of many suggested donation items:
- Watches, Jewelry, Sunglasses, etc.
- Basketballs, Soccer Balls and Footballs
- Make-up Brushes
- Blow Dryer/Curling Iron
