There’s so much to do around Orange County in the Spring! With Covid restrictions being lifted, many festivals, shows, and events that have been postponed are coming back strong for 2022. You’ll have no trouble planning a fun family activity or maybe a date night at one of the many Spring celebrations in your community. Here are some of our top picks for spring break happenings!
San Juan Capistrano | March 12th
After a two year hiatus, the 62nd annual Swallows Day Parade and Mercado Street Faire is back and better than ever. Colorful Marching bands and performers will line the downtown San Juan street to celebrate the return of the famous cliff swallows. The Mercado Street Faire located at Historic Town Center Park, which will be open throughout the day’s festivities.
Buena Park | March 18th – April 24th
Indulge in a tantalizing lineup of dishes ranging from savory foods with a boysenberry twist to one-of-a-kind specialty desserts and drinks that you can only find at Knott’s Berry Farm during this limited-time food festival. In addition to the numerous food and drink offerings, the Knott’s Boysenberry Festival offers a wide selection of local crafters, live music, musical stage shows, and fun activities for guests of all ages to enjoy. This year’s event will introduce entirely new food offerings featuring a selection of more than two dozen food and drink items.
Irvine | March – June
This interactive workshop teaches children how baby chickens grow inside the egg as well as how plants grow! Children will plant their own giant sunflowers to bring home, harvest a vegetable, and visit with our barnyard friends. This workshop is geared towards children 4 to 10 years old. Orange | March 26th – April 16th
Hop on over with family and friends to enjoy this fun and exciting Spring-time event. Children can meet and have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny as well as participate in several activities that are located throughout the area.
South Coast Plaza | April 22nd – 24th
Get into the Spring of things at South Coast Plaza’s 32nd annual Spring Garden Show. A one-of-a-kind spectacular botanical display made of floral and plant parts. Experience home and garden exhibits featuring outdoor living displays by leading landscape designers and unique garden and plant vendors.
Marconi Auto Museum | May 1st
The 12th annual OC Food and Wine Festival welcomes you to enjoy food and wine from top OC restaurants and California wineries from Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles and the Santa Barbara area; find an interesting variety of gifts, products, travel and entertainment items in our silent and live auctions.
Garden Grove | May 27th – 30th
A Tradition since 1958, enjoy four fun filled days of festivities with the largest community parade on the West Coast. All four festival days will include 35 carnival rides, 5 contests, over 200 food and sales booths, games, music and live entertainment.
